Brief Company history

Spartan Peripheral Devices has been manufacturing products for the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) industry since 1995. In 2013, the company developed a series of tailored solutions and custom products allowing it to position itself in the original equipment manufacturing (OEM) market.

Original founders and directors, Doug McIntosh and Paul Balazovjech, had acquired over sixty years of combined experience in control equipment and building automation systems in HVAC. Witnessing the proliferation of building automation systems throughout North America, they seized on a valuable niche market. Their foresight led to the creation of Spartan Peripheral Devices to cater to the needs of BAS contractors coast to coast. Paul Balazovjech led the company from its creation until 2017.

In early 2018, Alexandre Leneveu, who joined the company in early 2006 to lead operations, took the reins as President and CEO in line with the company’s succession plans.
